Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Description

Amazon is seeking a highly analytical Business Intelligence Analyst to transform complex business data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions. In this role, you will work closely with business leaders, product teams, and data engineers to develop dashboards, automate reporting, and uncover trends that improve operational performance.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in data analysis, SQL, business intelligence tools, and stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Analyze large datasets to identify business trends, customer behavior, and operational opportunities

✔ Develop interactive dashboards and reporting solutions using Tableau, Power BI, or internal BI tools

✔ Write advanced SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate business data

✔ Create automated data pipelines and reporting workflows

✔ Partner with cross-functional teams to define KPIs and performance metrics

✔ Deliver data-driven recommendations to improve business efficiency and customer experience

✔ Conduct ad hoc analysis and present findings to senior leadership

✔ Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance standards

Required Qualifications

✔ Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field

✔ 3+ years of experience in business intelligence or data analyst roles

✔ Strong proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and data visualization tools

✔ Experience with Python or R for data analysis and automation

✔ Strong problem-solving and communication skills

✔ Ability to translate complex data into business insights

Preferred Skills

✔ Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services

✔ Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing

✔ Knowledge of predictive analytics and statistical modeling
