Job Description

Cisco is hiring a Security Governance Director to lead enterprise-wide cybersecurity governance, risk management, compliance strategy, and security policy operations.

This leadership role focuses on developing and managing governance frameworks, overseeing regulatory compliance programs, improving cybersecurity risk posture, and ensuring alignment with global security standards across enterprise systems and cloud environments.

The Security Governance Director works closely with executive leadership, legal, audit, compliance, IT, and cybersecurity teams to strengthen organizational security governance and support long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise cybersecurity governance and compliance programs
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures
• Oversee governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) initiatives
• Manage cybersecurity risk assessments and remediation strategies
• Ensure compliance with:
  • NIST
  • ISO 27001
  • SOC 2
  • PCI-DSS
  • HIPAA
  • GDPR
• Coordinate internal and external security audits
• Monitor cloud security governance and regulatory requirements
• Lead third-party/vendor risk management initiatives
• Provide executive-level risk and compliance reporting
• Collaborate with engineering, legal, and security operations teams
• Support incident response governance and security awareness programs
• Manage and mentor cybersecurity governance teams
