Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to join our growing Data & Analytics team. The Analytics Engineer will bridge the gap between Data Engineering and Business Intelligence by transforming raw data into reliable, scalable, and business-ready datasets. This role is responsible for designing data models, building analytics pipelines, ensuring data quality, and enabling stakeholders to make data-driven decisions through accurate reporting and insights.
The ideal candidate has strong SQL skills, experience with modern data stack technologies, and a passion for creating efficient data solutions that support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Data Modeling & Transformation
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models for analytics and reporting.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to transform raw data into actionable business datasets.
- Create and manage data marts, dimensional models, and semantic layers.
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of analytical datasets.
Analytics & Reporting
- Partner with business teams to understand reporting and analytics requirements.
- Develop datasets that support dashboards, KPIs, and business intelligence solutions.
- Enable self-service analytics across departments.
- Support executive reporting and strategic decision-making initiatives.
Data Quality & Governance
- Implement data validation, testing, and monitoring processes.
- Maintain data documentation, metadata, and data lineage.
- Establish best practices for data governance and quality assurance.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies and integrity issues.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
- Work closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Business Analysts.
- Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Provide technical guidance on analytics architecture and reporting strategies.
- Support data-driven initiatives across multiple business units.
Performance Optimization
- Optimize SQL queries and data models for performance and scalability.
- Improve efficiency of data processing workflows.
- Monitor warehouse performance and recommend enhancements.
- Automate repetitive reporting and analytics processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or related roles.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
- Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, or Azure Synapse.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and analytics frameworks.
- Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data transformation tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool).
- Knowledge of Python or other programming languages.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks.
- Experience supporting executive-level reporting and KPI development.
- Exposure to machine learning and advanced analytics workflows.
