Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Head of Responsible AI to lead the organization’s Responsible AI strategy and governance initiatives. This executive leadership role will ensure that Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI systems are developed, deployed, and monitored in a manner that is ethical, transparent, fair, secure, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

The Head of Responsible AI will work closely with executive leadership, AI engineering teams, legal, compliance, cybersecurity, privacy, and risk management stakeholders to establish enterprise-wide Responsible AI standards and governance frameworks.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the organization’s Responsible AI vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Develop enterprise-wide Responsible AI policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Lead initiatives focused on AI fairness, transparency, accountability, explainability, and safety.
  • Establish processes to identify, assess, and mitigate AI-related risks.
  • Oversee Responsible AI reviews throughout the AI lifecycle.
  • Partner with AI, Data Science, Legal, Compliance, Security, and Privacy teams.
  • Ensure compliance with emerging AI regulations and industry standards.
  • Create governance structures and review boards for high-impact AI systems.
  • Monitor AI performance and ethical considerations after deployment.
  • Develop executive-level reporting on Responsible AI metrics and risks.
  • Lead Responsible AI training and awareness programs across the organization.
  • Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and regulatory discussions.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Responsible AI practices and governance controls.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Public Policy, Law, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in AI Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, Data Governance, AI Ethics, or related disciplines.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing enterprise programs and teams.
  • Strong understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Generative AI technologies.
  • Experience developing and implementing governance frameworks and risk management programs.
  • Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • Experience working in highly regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or technology.
  • Familiarity with global AI regulations and frameworks, including:
    • NIST AI Risk Management Framework
    • ISO/IEC 42001
    • OECD AI Principles
    • EU AI Act
    • Responsible AI Governance Standards
  • Professional certifications in Governance, Risk, Compliance, Privacy, or Cybersecurity.
