Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Forensics Analyst to join our Cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting digital forensic investigations, analyzing cyber incidents, collecting and preserving digital evidence, and supporting incident response activities. This role requires expertise in forensic methodologies, evidence handling, malware analysis, and cybersecurity investigations.

The Digital Forensics Analyst will work closely with Security Operations, Incident Response, Legal, Compliance, and IT teams to investigate security breaches, insider threats, fraud cases, and other cyber incidents while maintaining the integrity of digital evidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct digital forensic investigations involving cyber incidents, data breaches, insider threats, and unauthorized system access.
• Collect, preserve, and analyze digital evidence from computers, mobile devices, servers, cloud environments, and network systems.
• Perform forensic imaging and data acquisition using industry-standard forensic tools.
• Investigate security incidents and determine root causes, attack methods, and affected assets.
• Analyze system logs, network traffic, memory dumps, and file systems to identify indicators of compromise (IOCs).
• Support Incident Response teams during active cybersecurity investigations.
• Prepare detailed forensic reports and technical documentation for management, legal teams, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain chain-of-custody documentation and ensure evidence integrity throughout investigations.
• Conduct malware analysis and support threat intelligence activities.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, legal teams, compliance officers, and internal stakeholders when required.
• Assist with eDiscovery, litigation support, and regulatory investigations.
• Stay current with emerging cyber threats, forensic technologies, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, Digital Forensics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Digital Forensics, Incident Response, or Cybersecurity Operations.
• Strong knowledge of forensic investigation methodologies and evidence handling procedures.
• Experience analyzing Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems.
• Familiarity with network protocols, system logs, and security event analysis.
• Experience with malware analysis and threat investigation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, or Information Assurance.
• Experience with cloud forensics in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
• Knowledge of eDiscovery and legal investigation processes.
• Experience supporting regulatory compliance investigations.
• Familiarity with reverse engineering and advanced malware analysis.
