Red Team Operator

Job Description

CrowdStrike is seeking a highly skilled Red Team Operator to join its Offensive Security team. In this role, you will simulate sophisticated cyberattacks against enterprise environments to evaluate security controls, detection capabilities, and incident response processes. You will emulate real-world threat actors, identify security weaknesses, and provide actionable recommendations to strengthen the organization’s security posture.

The ideal candidate has experience in adversary emulation, penetration testing, social engineering assessments, Active Directory exploitation, cloud security testing, and red team operations across complex environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced red team engagements against enterprise networks, cloud environments, and applications.
• Simulate tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) used by real-world threat actors.
• Perform phishing and social engineering campaigns to evaluate organizational resilience.
• Assess Active Directory security and privilege escalation paths.
• Execute internal and external penetration testing activities.
• Develop custom attack tools, scripts, and payloads.
• Collaborate with Blue Team and Security Operations teams to improve detection and response capabilities.
• Document findings and present executive-level reports.
• Conduct threat emulation exercises aligned with the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in offensive security, red teaming, or penetration testing.
• Strong understanding of Windows, Linux, and Active Directory environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of common attack frameworks and methodologies.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
