AI Governance Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AI Governance Manager to lead the development and implementation of governance frameworks that ensure the responsible, ethical, secure, and compliant use of Artificial Intelligence across the organization. The ideal candidate will work closely with AI, Data Science, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Security, and Business teams to establish policies, standards, and controls that support trustworthy AI adoption while meeting regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise-wide AI governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
• Establish controls to manage AI-related risks, including ethical, operational, compliance, and reputational risks.
• Ensure AI systems comply with applicable regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
• Lead AI risk assessments and governance reviews throughout the AI lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Cybersecurity, and Data Science teams to implement Responsible AI practices.
• Monitor emerging AI regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Develop governance processes for AI model development, deployment, monitoring, and retirement.
• Create governance dashboards, metrics, and executive reports.
• Support AI audits, regulatory examinations, and internal assessments.
• Conduct AI governance training and awareness programs for stakeholders.
• Establish oversight mechanisms for model transparency, explainability, fairness, and accountability.
• Drive continuous improvement of AI governance programs across the organization.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Administration, Risk Management, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in AI Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, Data Governance, Model Risk Management, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and governance principles.
• Experience developing governance frameworks and compliance programs.
• Knowledge of Responsible AI, AI Ethics, and AI Risk Management practices.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Experience with Generative AI governance programs.
• Knowledge of AI regulations and frameworks such as:
  • NIST AI Risk Management Framework
  • ISO/IEC 42001
  • EU AI Act
  • OECD AI Principles
  • Responsible AI Frameworks
• Professional certifications in Governance, Risk, Compliance, Cybersecurity, or Data Management.
