Cloud Network Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Network Engineer to design, implement, secure, and optimize cloud-based network infrastructures across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in cloud networking, hybrid cloud connectivity, network security, and automation to ensure highly available and scalable enterprise environments.

The Cloud Network Engineer will work closely with Cloud Architects, Security Engineers, DevOps teams, and Infrastructure Engineers to support mission-critical applications and services.

Job Description

The Cloud Network Engineer is responsible for designing and managing cloud networking solutions that support enterprise applications, data centers, and hybrid cloud environments. This role involves configuring virtual networks, implementing secure connectivity solutions, monitoring network performance, and automating cloud infrastructure deployments.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience with cloud networking technologies, routing protocols, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy cloud networking solutions across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Configure and manage Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), Virtual Networks (VNets), and cloud routing services.
• Implement secure hybrid cloud connectivity using VPNs and Direct Connect/ExpressRoute solutions.
• Configure cloud firewalls, security groups, network access controls, and load balancers.
• Monitor cloud network performance, availability, and security.
• Troubleshoot network latency, connectivity, and performance issues.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement cloud security best practices.
• Automate network deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Perform capacity planning and network optimization.
• Maintain documentation for cloud network architecture and configurations.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in cloud networking or network engineering.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud networking services.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, and routing concepts.
• Experience implementing VPNs, SD-WAN, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Knowledge of cloud security principles and network segmentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting multi-cloud environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes networking and container platforms.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust Network Architecture.
• Experience with network automation and scripting.
• Knowledge of enterprise security frameworks and compliance standards.
