Computer Vision Engineer (AI)

Job Description

Tesla is looking for a skilled Computer Vision Engineer to develop advanced AI-powered vision systems for autonomous driving, robotics, and intelligent automation. You will design and optimize machine learning models that process real-time image and video data to power next-generation smart systems.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in computer vision, deep learning, and real-time AI model deployment.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Design and develop computer vision algorithms for object detection, image classification, and video analysis

✔ Build and train deep learning models using PyTorch, TensorFlow, or OpenCV

✔ Optimize AI models for real-time inference and edge deployment

✔ Work with large-scale image and sensor datasets for model training and validation

✔ Collaborate with software engineers and research teams to integrate AI into production systems

✔ Improve model accuracy, performance, and scalability

✔ Research and implement cutting-edge advancements in computer vision and AI

✔ Ensure reliability, safety, and responsible AI practices

Required Qualifications

✔ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, or related field

✔ 3+ years of experience in computer vision or AI engineering

✔ Strong programming skills in Python and C++

✔ Hands-on experience with Deep Learning, CNNs, and image processing techniques

✔ Experience with tools such as OpenCV, TensorFlow, or PyTorch

✔ Knowledge of machine learning model optimization and deployment

Preferred Skills

✔ Experience with autonomous systems or robotics

✔ Familiarity with GPU acceleration and distributed training

✔ Knowledge of edge AI deployment and embedded systems
