DevSecOps Engineer

Job Description

Fortinet is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to integrate security practices into the software development and deployment lifecycle. The ideal candidate will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to automate security controls, improve code security, and ensure secure cloud-native application delivery.

You will help build scalable and secure CI/CD pipelines while enabling fast, secure software releases across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Integrate security tools and controls into CI/CD pipelines for continuous security testing

✔ Automate vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and compliance checks

✔ Implement DevSecOps best practices across development and cloud environments

✔ Secure containerized applications and orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes

✔ Collaborate with developers to remediate code vulnerabilities and improve secure coding practices

✔ Use tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Snyk, and SonarQube

✔ Monitor cloud security posture across Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud

✔ Support compliance and security governance requirements

Required Qualifications

✔ Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

✔ 4+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or security engineering

✔ Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure as code

✔ Knowledge of cloud security, container security, and secure SDLC practices

✔ Experience with scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)

✔ Strong troubleshooting and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills

✔ Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS), AWS Security Specialty, or Security+

✔ Experience with Zero Trust and policy-as-code frameworks

✔ Familiarity with compliance standards such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001
