Job Description

Microsoft is seeking a talented NLP Engineer to design, build, and optimize advanced Natural Language Processing systems for AI-powered products. You will work on cutting-edge language models, text analytics, chatbots, and intelligent search systems to improve user experiences across enterprise applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in machine learning, deep learning, and modern transformer-based NLP models.

Key Responsibilities

1. NLP Model Development

• Design and develop NLP solutions for:
  • Text classification
  • Named Entity Recognition (NER)
  • Sentiment analysis
  • Question answering
  • Text summarization
  • Chatbot development
• Fine-tune transformer models such as:
  • BERT (Google Research)
  • Hugging Face Transformers
  • spaCy

2. Machine Learning & Model Optimization

• Train, evaluate, and improve NLP model accuracy
• Optimize models for scalability and low latency
• Perform error analysis and model tuning

3. Data Processing & Feature Engineering

• Clean and preprocess large text datasets
• Build annotation pipelines and training datasets
• Develop text embeddings and vector search solutions

4. Product Integration

• Deploy NLP models into production APIs and applications
• Collaborate with software engineers and product teams
• Monitor model performance and reliability
