We are seeking a highly skilled OT/ICS Security Engineer to protect and secure Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control System (ICS) environments across critical infrastructure, manufacturing, energy, utilities, and industrial operations. The ideal candidate will assess risks, implement security controls, monitor industrial networks, and support cybersecurity initiatives that ensure the availability, integrity, and resilience of industrial systems.
Job Description
The OT/ICS Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity solutions for industrial environments, including SCADA systems, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) devices. This role collaborates with engineering, operations, and IT security teams to protect critical infrastructure from cyber threats while maintaining operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement security controls for OT and ICS environments.
- Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments of industrial systems and assets.
- Monitor OT networks for suspicious activities and security incidents.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and security audits on industrial control systems.
- Develop and maintain OT cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
- Support incident response and forensic investigations involving OT environments.
- Secure SCADA, DCS, PLC, and IIoT devices against cyber threats.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to implement secure architectures.
- Evaluate and deploy OT security technologies such as network segmentation, intrusion detection systems, and asset management solutions.
- Assist with compliance initiatives related to industrial cybersecurity frameworks.
- Develop disaster recovery and cyber resilience strategies for operational technology environments.
- Perform threat modeling and security architecture reviews for industrial systems.
- Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices affecting critical infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in OT Security, ICS Security, Industrial Networking, or Cybersecurity Engineering.
- Knowledge of industrial control systems and operational technology environments.
- Experience with SCADA, DCS, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial communication protocols.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and network security.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
