Prompt Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Prompt Engineer to join our Artificial Intelligence team. The ideal candidate will design, test, optimize, and manage prompts for Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI applications. This role involves working closely with AI Engineers, Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Business Stakeholders to improve AI-generated responses, automate workflows, and enhance user experiences.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Generative AI technologies, prompt engineering techniques, natural language processing concepts, and AI model behavior. They will play a critical role in developing reliable, accurate, and scalable AI-powered solutions across multiple business functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize prompts for Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, consistency, relevance, and safety.
• Create prompt libraries, templates, and reusable frameworks for various business use cases.
• Develop and maintain prompt engineering best practices and documentation.
• Collaborate with AI Engineers and Data Scientists to improve model performance.
• Conduct prompt testing, experimentation, and A/B evaluations.
• Identify and mitigate AI hallucinations, bias, and response quality issues.
• Support the development of AI chatbots, virtual assistants, content generation tools, and workflow automation systems.
• Monitor prompt effectiveness and continuously improve output quality.
• Stay current with advancements in Generative AI, LLMs, and emerging AI technologies.
• Assist in fine-tuning AI models and implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows.
• Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective AI interactions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Linguistics, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience working with Generative AI, NLP, content strategy, or AI applications.
• Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI technologies.
• Experience with prompt design, prompt optimization, and AI testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts and language model behavior.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to evaluate and improve AI-generated outputs.
• Experience working in cross-functional technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
• Knowledge of AI model fine-tuning and evaluation frameworks.
• Experience with conversational AI and chatbot development.
• Familiarity with AI safety, responsible AI, and governance principles.
• Experience working with APIs and AI application development.
• Master’s degree in AI, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
