Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. They help the site remember things — like that you are logged in or which currency you picked. This policy explains how American Prime Academy uses them.
1. Our approach
We keep cookies to a minimum. Essential cookies keep the website working. We do not currently use analytics or other non-essential cookies on our website; if we ever add them, we will ask for your permission first and update this policy. We never use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies in our classrooms or on pages designed for children.
2. Cookies we use
| Type | What it does | Can I turn it off? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keeps you signed in, protects forms from abuse, remembers your cart. | No — the site needs these to work. |
| Preferences | Remembers settings such as your currency or a dismissed notice. | Yes, in your browser settings. |
| Analytics | Helps us understand which pages parents find useful so we can improve them. Data is aggregated. | Not used today. If we add analytics, they will only run after you opt in. |
3. Similar technologies
We may also use local storage in your browser for small conveniences, such as remembering that a menu was closed. Our emails may contain a pixel that tells us whether an email was opened, which you can block by turning off images in your email app.
4. Managing your choices
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site, such as login or checkout, from working.
- Some browsers send a “Global Privacy Control” signal; where required by law, we treat it as an opt-out of non-essential cookies.
5. Children and cookies
Children use our learning platform under a parent’s account. We use only essential cookies in the classroom and learning areas, and we never use cookies to build advertising profiles about children. Read more in our Privacy Policy.
6. Changes and contact
We may update this Cookie Policy when our website changes. Questions? Email hello@americanprimeacademy.com.
